“We sing as an expression of hope, trust, and faith, praising God for what He has done in the past and proclaiming our faith for what He will do in the future.”—Moody President Dr. Mark Jobe
The million Christmas lights along the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago pale in comparison to the Light of the World. Jesus is our hope, born in the humble town of Bethlehem and shining brightly in the darkness as our promised Savior.
Experience the wonder of the first Christmas as we transform the Moody Bible Institute campus into our annual Christ-centered music and dramatic celebration, Candlelight Carols. Enjoy concert performances by Moody Chorale, Moody Gospel Choir, Moody Campus Orchestra, One O’Clock Jazz Band, Ecclesia and EverPraise Worship Collectives. Our Moody drama team will present the story of 19th-century British preacher, Charles H. Spurgeon.
More than just a Christmas tradition, Candlelight Carols is a worship experience exalting the true reason for the season. More than just a concert, it’s an extravaganza featuring a Christmas market, a Festival of Arts, food trucks, cookies and hot cocoa on the campus plaza, and an interactive Christmas experience for your kids. Bring your family, your church, and your friends who haven’t yet met Jesus to this joyous event!
Thank you for attending Candlelight Carols this year. Stay tuned for information about next year's Candlelight Carols!
